Jason Phelps is the founder of Climate Forecasts for the Future (CFF), a climate consulting company enhancing seasonal climate forecast accuracy on a localized and broad scale.
While attending college, Jason was an intern at KOMO 4 TV Weather for Steve Poole and Scott Sistek. He sent climate forecasts and research to Sistek over the past 12 years. This research was included in a few of Sistek’s blogs (2/18/17 and 3/31/17). He has also prepared and broadcasted weather forecasts on Utah Public Radio. In addition, he presented research at the National Weather Association Conference in Salt Lake City in 2014.
Jason received his Bachelor’s Degree in Atmospheric Science (Meteorology) from the University of Washington. He then earned his Master’s Degree in Watershed and Climate Sciences from Utah State University.
